"This is the first complete redesign we've done in over four years. The new site utilizes many new technologies and enables us to serve our members in a way that just wasn't possible before. It was a great way to celebrate our two recent milestones."

LinuxQuestions.org is proud to announce the launch of its redesigned website. Along with the new look comes a variety of new features and sections.  New to the site is an Articles and Editorials section, which focuses on original content, and an individual blog for every registered member.

New features are too numerous to list, but include AJAX posting, XHTML compliance, improved navigation, better integration with other sites in the LQ network, Linux news syndication and the inclusion of customized RSS feeds.  LQ currently has over 60 forums, with topics ranging from Linux Newbies to Linux in the Enterprise, and has participation from twenty-five Linux distributions.

In addition to the forums, the Linux hardware compatibility list, tutorials section and reviews section now have a unified look and feel.  The site runs on the LAMP stack and utilizes a variety of Open Source software.  The site recently reached two million (2,000,000) posts and two hundred thousand (200,000) registered members.

The URLwire Effect:
"URLwire is without question the most effective way to tell the right people in the online world about your web site"
-- CoolShopping.com

My experience with URLWire has been entirely positive. I received coverage (and links!) from key sites and in e-newsletters, one of which had over 500,000 readers. Resulting traffic has been more than impressive. URLwire
demonstrated to me that it's the prime choice for announcing a web site. Edwin Hayward

"Eric, URLwire got our site covered and linked online in places we'd tried for months to get in without success. And, URLwire did it in one day.
