Iminta.com Launches New Social Aggregation Site Today People can share discoveries from different social services with friends in one place, with filters and permissions determining who sees what ............URL: http://www.iminta.com
Iminta.com (www.iminta.com) announced today that it is launching the public beta of its new social aggregation site. Internet users can collect all their online profiles from services such as Digg, Flickr, YouTube, Yelp, Twitter, last.fm and others in one place, turn their content into a single online profile, share it with friends and colleagues, and use the site's unique filters and permissions to determine who sees what. "I wanted to create a place where my friends and I could share what we're into online, even when we use different sites, without having to send an email every time," said Aaron Newton, Iminta.com's founder, "but I also wanted to control what content each person sees. Maybe I love my friend's photos, but I hate his music. Iminta is unique because it lets you filter what others see in your profile and what you see in theirs with a great degree of control. And it's as easy as clicking the 'Favorite' button below a YouTube video." Private Beta
To add to their Iminta profiles, users simply do what they've always done – surf their favorite sites and click to choose a story, photo, song, document, or video that they like; the content is automatically added. They can delete items from their feed with a click or delete all items from a service at once. They can also receive their profiles via RSS, plug them into their blogs or anywhere else, and take their friends' discoveries with them via daily email and RSS. "Real-world friends who see, call, or IM each other can create and maintain the bond of friendship through a shared culture," said Newton, "but there's so much information floating through our view these days that these connections are becoming fractured and harder to maintain. Iminta is a bridge that simplifies the process of creating and sharing a culture." About Iminta

"My experience
with URLWire has been entirely positive. I received coverage (and links!)
from key sites and in e-newsletters, one of which had over 500,000 readers.
Resulting traffic has been more than impressive. URLwire demonstrated to
me that it's the prime choice for announcing a web site."
"Eric, URLwire
got our site covered and linked online in places we'd tried for months
to get in without success. And, URLwire did it in one day."
