This new website features a daily XML syndicated news service to give visitors the opportunity to receive stormwater news anywhere in the world via browser or mobile devices, such as email phones or other wireless devices. 

“With the increase in our news coverage this year, offering the XML service allows visitors the option to stay up to date on the latest technologies, research, regulations, and information during their travels,” said Lisa Begin, General Manager of StormwaterAuthority.org. 

In addition to the syndicated news, StormwaterAuthority has a new design and infrastructure.  Visitors will soon find a Weblog (popularly known as a Blog) on the site to exchange information and have conversations with other professionals about stormwater management.   “This feature allows individuals to communicate online with a wide audience of professionals.  This is another option for professionals to use when searching for answers to their stormwater questions and can help mitigate the amount of email people receive from list servs and other email channels,” said Begin.    

In addition to these services, StormwaterAuthority provides access to a variety of tools and expert guidance, including an exhaustive guide of stormwater-related regulations by state.   Visitors can find descriptions and information on best management practices in addition to an extensive library of papers and research by industry professionals and experts. 

“Visitors to the site will notice some big changes.  We will continue to build StormwaterAuthority as a comprehensive resource of information that is easy to navigate, easy to information needed and continue to take advantage of technology available to improve information sharing,”  said Begin. “We thank our affiliates for helping us achieve these projects and look forward to continuing our improvements to the site.”
