ADDvantaged, Inc., a publisher of information and resources for people with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), today announced the launch of an online ADHD information community built on a blog network. The network, comprised of blogs written by respected authors and professionals in the field, as well as those of individuals with ADHD, is the first of its kind for the 12 million Americans with the condition, and addresses the extensive personal, social and occupational challenges that adults and children with ADHD face.
"Studies show that medication is only part of the solution to ADHD," said Andrew Martin, the company's president, who himself has ADHD, "The rest is about therapies, accommodations, education, and lifestyle changes-- and that kind of information often doesn't get into people's hands. The answers are out there, but are very fragmented. We're creating a fulcrum of ADHD information from professionals and the grassroots. Blogs are the best way we've seen to do this."
The website, loctated at www.add-vantaged.com features blogs from authors and professionals in the field, including those of Dr. Lara Honos-Webb ("The Gift of ADHD") and Mary Fowler ("Maybe You know My Teen", "20 Questions to Ask If Your Child Has ADHD"), offers news, information, tutorials, opinions and links to ADHD resources. In addition to its author and professional blogs, the site's editors write regularly on topics related to productivity, parenting, and emotional well-being. The website's ADHD members are also invited to contribute and each is encouraged to do so with a free personal blog:
"We want people to participate," Martin says, "Parents and adults with ADHD have often figured out remarkable ways of succeeding. Any one of them might have the solution to a problem that's kept someone else stuck for a very long time."
In addition to its blogs, ADDvantaged.com provides a range of other resources and tools: Original articles, streaming and downloadable media, printable D*I*Y planner pages, printable learning materials for children, links to free software applications, daily and weekly tips, and an upcoming weekly podcast.

Announcing your site?
with URLWire has been entirely positive. I received coverage (and links!)
from key sites and in e-newsletters, one of which had over 500,000 readers.
Resulting traffic has been more than impressive. URLwire
got our site covered and linked online in places we'd tried for months
to get in without success. And, URLwire did it in one day.
