| New IRS Site Helps Small Businesses With Audits | |||

The IRS (Internal Revenue Service) has launchd a new site with guides designed to help small businesses which are being audited. Located at http://www.irs.gov/smallbiz/, the site offers industry/profession specific information and provides links to other helpful non-IRS sites. The Tax Schemes sections states "Don't Be Misled By Tax Scams: IRS Warns of 8 Common Tax Schemes". A Library section lists two dozen industry guides for IRS personnel including examination techniques, industry issues, and business practices. The site also includes information on developing business plans and help for filing tax returns online. |
