Web500.us was founded on Oct 2007 by Norman Kong, Ph.D., a renowned researcher who was listed in Marquis Who is Who in America and has over two dozens of patents and papers to his credit. The goal of the site is to help average consumers make purchasing decisions about electronics in the most time efficient and cost effective way.

The site helps consumers research, compare and select the best HDTVS and cameras based on features, quality, price, value and reliability. In addition, the HDTV and camera news, product cycle, brand comparisons and price comparisons will be analyzed so that readers can select the product which fits their needs with the best quality and value. For each product selected, links to the the best reviews and best prices are also listed for the convenience of readers interested in further research.

Norman said he founded the site after many years of experience researching and purchasing
consumer electronics. He said there are three problems when shopping for electronics:

First, the reviews of products are often overwhelming for first time buyers unfamiliar with technical jargon. In his opinion, "the expert reviews are often focusing on the novel features which average consumer hardly uses". Although there are many useful user reviews scattered in forums and on shopping sites, it takes too much time to find the useful information.

Second, with so many different models of HDTVs and cameras, the consumer is often confused.
It hard to find reviews for a specific product.

Third, product cycles are getting shorter and shorter. Buying now or waiting for the next model
is very important. Norman said that in the past he bought products with good reviews and then a newer model with better features and lower price would come out right after his purchase.

Visit Web500.us today to compare different brands of gadgets and electronics and make
the right buying decision.

How to announce content

News bots and headline linking services are welcome to crawl/scrape this site announcement.

URLwire has helped quality web content gain attention, links, and publicity for over 15 years. URLwire was established in 1994 as a private and discreet service to announce meritiorious Web content to the exact trusted influencers who care about it. URLwire is free to all subscribers. URLwire is not a bulk press release distribution service, and will never be automated.  It is sent by Eric Ward, one at a time, to people who look forward to it. URLwire has thousands of private email subscribers, and I also publish URLwire in several other formats including RSS and Twitter. Why am I still doing this after all these years?  Here's a quote that sums it up.

"Eric knows quality web content, and he knows how to reach out and publicize
it politely, personally, privately. When we see an email from Eric, we read
it and regularly link to the sites he sends us." --Library of Congress
