This week http://goHardTV.com premiered giving African users everywhere their own portal for online video. From people living on the African continent, to emigrating professionals in Paris, Madrid to African-Americans in Chicago. goHardTV.com appeals to this vast audience as a central and highly attractive place for self-produced video.

goHardTV members add new videos minute by minute to be viewed under such categories as African Entertainment, Education and Awareness, Marketing and Movie Trailers.

A recent check of the site found a 'Fast and Furious' posting of new videos by members showing how to gain quick advantage in highly popular video games such as 'Call of Duty' and 'Assassins Creed'.

Other videos cover the American music scene with a separate channel featuring artists in the UK, France and Latin America. Even Gospel and Reggae get their own categories at goHardTV.

While YouTube is often credited with starting the online video movement, its videos are largely dominated by Anglo, suburban producers.  "We wanted to create a very attractive, user friendly site that appeals to African producers, viewers, and interests," said Femi Olu, founder of goHardTV.com.

Perhaps goHardTV's most powerful advantage is it streams videos to a truly global audience.  "We have members in the Far East, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the US and just about any other place you can think of," Olu said.

goHardTV.com is already becoming a favorite for advertisers. Along with streaming videos, the site dishes up full-color ads for new musical artist videos, cooking tips, urban focused search engines, haircare products, and any other business that can benefit from a very large and focused audience.

Within the site's first few days, nearly 2 million individual videos had been posted. "We're quickly gaining a very large and excited audience. This is exactly what recession-strapped advertisers really need right now," Olu said.

Mr. Olu is himself African, having gained prominence as an Internet innovator, businessman and recording artist.  Africa is a vast continent known for its limitless resources, rich culture, and an extremely wide variety of peoples and traditions.  Add to that the fact that many millions of people around the world claim African heritage as their own.

"The African and urban audiences are some of the most underserved in the world but are the forefront brand consumers. goHardTV.com now gives this vast audience an exciting place for enhanced definition streaming video 24/7 and access to leading brands," Olu said.

How to announce content

News bots and headline linking services are welcome to crawl/scrape this site announcement.

URLwire has helped quality web content gain attention, links, and publicity for over 15 years. URLwire was established in 1994 as a private and discreet service to announce meritiorious Web content to the exact trusted influencers who care about it. URLwire is free to all subscribers. URLwire is not a bulk press release distribution service, and will never be automated.  It is sent by Eric Ward, one at a time, to people who look forward to it. URLwire has thousands of private email subscribers, and I also publish URLwire in several other formats including RSS and Twitter. Why am I still doing this after all these years?  Here's a quote that sums it up.

"Eric knows quality web content, and he knows how to reach out and publicize
it politely, personally, privately. When we see an email from Eric, we read
it and regularly link to the sites he sends us." --Library of Congress
