"Go! George Go!" helps kids learn
the basics of navigating the world around them as they help George on his
summer job delivering ice cream cones -- which are precariously perched
in his antlers! To prevent the ice cream from melting on the way,
players must use landmarks on the neighborhood map to guide George on the
shortest routes to various delivery destinations.
Grown-ups get to explore too -- with activities, resources and tips in the teacher's guide, "Arthur's World Neighborhood: Building Global and Cultural Awareness." The curriculum -- developed for students in grades 2-3, but easily adapted for younger or older audiences -- provides tools to help kids explore cultural diversity within their own community and around the world. The full guide and activity sheets are available online in PDF format, along with links to relevant features on the ARTHUR site. At http://pbskids.org/arthur/grownups/teacherguides/world/index.html Enjoy all of the fun and learning ARTHUR has to offer -- daily on PBS KIDS (check local listings) and online at http://pbskids.org/arthur.
