Micro Small Business Owners with
fewer than 4 employees and home business owners may enter The 2006 Small
Biz Games free prior to the entry deadline of December 31, 2005 at http://smallbizgames.com.
The 2006
Small Biz Games honors outstanding home business and micro small business
owners with cash awards, Olympic style medals, and positive public exposure.
Jay Conrad Levinson, best selling author of the Guerrilla Marketing
series of books is among a panel of small business and home business experts
judging this unique competition. Levinson will also act as Master of Ceremonies
and Keynote Speaker at the 2006 Small Biz Games Awards Banquet in Las Vegas,
Nevada, March 4th, 2006.
Michael Brooks, co-founder
of The Small Biz Games, says, “Existing awards recognition programs, even
when they have small business categories, usually give awards to much larger
‘small businesses’ - companies that have 25 or more employees and revenues
in the millions of dollars. Brooks adds, “There just aren’t enough opportunities
for true small businesses with 4 or fewer employees to receive recognition
even though many of these businesses are thriving.”
Newsweek Magazine reports that
by the end of 2005, 50% of the households in the United States will be
involved in a home-based business. According to the SBA Office of Advocacy,
90% of all U.S. businesses employ between zero and four workers, making
them either home based businesses or micro small businesses. “Of those
businesses, only 4% will go on to become the fast-growth companies recognized
by existing business awards programs and those you read about in Inc.,
Forbes, Fortune and other small business publications,” said Brooks. “Thus,
The Small Biz Games is filling a void.”
2006 Small Biz Games Awards
include cash prizes of $2000 for first place, $1000 for second place, and
$500 for third place in each of eight categories/events. Award winners
also receive custom Olympic style medals and positive public exposure on
the Small Biz Games website and through the media. In addition, all entrants
are given a free one year subscription to The Beyond the Box Club, which
includes a unique knowledge bank, tools, and resources to help small business
and home business owners become more productive and profitable.
The Small Biz Games also runs
a One Page Business Plan Contest with a $10,000 first place award, a self-published
business book and business ebook competitions with over $10,000 in prizes.

The URLwire
Effect:
"URLwire is
without question the most effective way to tell the right people in the
online world about your web site"
-- CoolShopping.com
My experience
with URLWire has been entirely positive.
I received
coverage (and links!) from key sites and in e-newsletters, one of which
had over 500,000 readers. Resulting traffic has been more than impressive.
URLwire
demonstrated
to me that it's the prime choice for announcing a web site. Edwin
