    Travel Channel Launches Site for "5 TAKES Europe" Reality Show

    Watch on TV and On TravelChannel.com as five "20-something" filmmakers are turned loose in Europe. Viewers and the five travelers will be able to interact via the website during their trip to share suggestions, up-to-date experiences and influence their journey.

    Five young filmmakers will travel to Europe for the next two months, each with a $50 a day budget and an Eurorail pass, as a production team captures their overall adventure for 5 TAKES Europe.  But as fully trained shoot-edit travel journalists, they are also each equipped with Mini DV cameras and laptop editing facilities to produce independent short daily web logs (blogs) and frequent video logs (vlogs) of their experiences for the Travel Channel website http://travelchannel.com/5takes.  They are asked to journal their honest, intimate perspective on trends, tourist traps, the history, and culture, while ultimately capturing the essence of the cities they visit.

It's truly is like nothing we've done before, and its a pioneering style of production we feel will work in a variety of travel-themed programs." 

    During their six-week tour to Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Venice, and Athens, the travel journalists will sometimes be alone and at other times together in groups, but they will always be together when traveling from city to city.

    The filmmakers include Faythallegra Coleman, 26, of Brooklyn, New York; Derek Dodge, 21, of Windham, Maine; Brad Hasse, 23, of Phoenix, Arizona; Alexis Madden, 23, of Manhattan, New York; and Ronnie Miller, 23, of Syracuse, New York.
