the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) breaks ground as the first sports organization
to allow users to personalize content across multiple sports. Fans can
personalize the homepage to feature the latest headlines and schedules
on their favorite Olympic sports. Content will come from original sources,
sport press releases and syndicated content sources to provide the deepest
coverage ever on usolympicteam.com.
In addition, the USOC launched the
first-ever U.S. Olympic Fan Club online and has announced plans to implement
online NGB member registration, in partnership with NBC Olympics and Internet
Broadcasting Systems (IBS). Encouraging fans and future stars to be a
part of the team, the U.S. Olympic Fan Club provides exclusive benefits
and content. For $29.99, Fan Club members will be supporting their U.S.
Olympic Team with a tax-deductible gift and in return receive a number
of premiums including U.S. Olympic Team merchandise, special offers from
sponsors and members-only access to exclusive content and downloads.
