First, you can read it as a book that will take you through the considerations of whether you want to file for a divorce, filing for the divorce, obtaining a final judgment, and then modifying the final judgment. The second way you can use the divorce guide is as a reference to prepare for your first meeting with a custody evaluator or to get you ready for your first hearing," says Dishon.
 
Besides the expansive divorce guide, another unique feature is a California child and spousal support calculator that estimates the amount of support that will be awarded after the divorce has been finalized. Users simply enter the incomes of both parties to create an estimate for spousal support. To get an idea of likely child support payments, users need to enter the incomes of both parties as well as some basic information regarding child care costs. 

Dishon and Block’s new website also features tools and information that are designed to assist couples at the beginning of the divorce process, preparing them as much as possible for the events ahead.  For instance, visitors are able to print off checklists to ensure that they compile all of the necessary paperwork when they meet with an attorney for the first time.
