msnbc.com has launched an original eight-part web series titled "Turning Points with Tom Brokaw".  Turning Points focuses on historic elections that changed America. Tom Brokaw, NBC News Special Correspondent and interim moderator of "Meet the Press," recaps these pivotal events and provides perspective on the political triumphs and defeats. Each Tuesday, leading up to this year's presidential election on November 4, msnbc.com will introduce a new installment of the series with exclusive video selected from NBC News' archives along with historical essays and multimedia features.

In the first installment of "Turning Points," available at www.turningpoints.msnbc.com, Brokaw recaps one of the biggest upsets in American politics -- Harry S. Truman's victory over Thomas Dewey in the 1948 presidential election. Consumers can watch video of Truman and Dewey at the 1948 Democratic and Republican conventions, respectively, as well as read essays and review political cartoons that were published in national newspapers in the run-up to election day. The upcoming "Turning Points" series' highlight the presidential races of 1960, 1968, 1972, 1980, 1992, and 2000.
