DiscoverySchool Site Unveils Custom Classroom Teaching Tools

DiscoverySchool.com has unveiled a new feature for teachers called "Custom Classroom". Custom Classroom utilizes break-through technology to provide online tools that help teachers create, host, manage tests and quizzes. Quizzes can be saved for free online and re-used, modified, or printed for off-line classroom handouts.

Custom Classroom offers teachers greater flexibility when creating, administering and grading tests and quizzes for use in any and every grade. Once teachers sign up in the registration process, they can begin to take advantage of two tools powered especially for Custom Classroom: Quiz Center and the popular Puzzlemaker.

In the new Quiz Center, teachers can create quizzes in their choice of format: multiple choice, true/false, short-answer,fill-in-the-blank or essay tests. Using teacher input, Quiz Center will then generate a quiz and respective answer key. Students can then take their quizzes online, with Quiz Center automatically grading students' work and e-mailing the results to teachers, or teachers can print the quizzes and use them as a handout.

Teachers gain mobility, able to access their materials from anywhere, as well as increased ability to gauge classroom performance in an instant. Plus, teachers can feel secure when using Custom Classroom, as access is limited to those who register with a personalized screen
name and password.

Custom Classroom also powers the latest version of the popular Puzzlemaker. Now teachers can create, print or store online customized word searches, crosswords, math puzzles, mazes and more using their own word lists. Class holidays and lesson topics come alive with self-designed puzzles and Discovery.com's specialty hand-drawn mazes.
