The
third quarter at Favourite
Website Awards (FWA)
saw more than 2500 websites nominated with 78 listed as winners.
The three sites that will join the previous six Site Of The Month winners to be judged for Site Of The Year 2002 are: July: Conspiracy Games [http://www.conspiracygames.com/], a revolutionary broadband website for Conspiracy Entertainment Corporation, a California-based games development company. This site received more than one terabyte of traffic in the first month online. August: Yulia Nau [http://www.yulia-nau.de/], a website for a D Jane from Frankfurt, Germany who represents hard progressive techno music. This site created a great deal of interest amongst the Flash community by using creative video style mouseover effects. September: dotu.net [http://www.dotu.net/], Warner Bros and Swing Entertainment site for the smash PlayStation 2 game, Defenders Of The Universe. Highly interactive and makes use of FI’s (http://www.fantasyinterfaces.com) branded navigation system (FI Elastic) with bouncy drag menus. Dotu.net includes information, screen-shots and video footage of the game as well as an online game for visitors. 15 new interviews were published this quarter, taking the total to over 60 and making this the largest collection of interviews with the top Flash designers, developers and motion graphics experts, in the world. FWA is currently
a non-profit project, sponsored by McGraw-Hill.co.uk
