Epitonic.com will use the investment to enhance its content, site development and consumer marketing. The financing also allows Epitonic.com to continue its rapid growth and solidify its role as the Web’s first editorial MP3 site, bringing consumers only the best tracks from an eclectic array of labels and genres.

"Epitonic.com is proud to partner with CNET because that’s where people go to learn about new ways to use the Internet and technology, and the site’s editorial information consistently saves time for its millions of users,” said Aaron Newton, Epitonic.com President and Founder. “This is exactly what Epitonic.com is all about – focusing on consumers and creating a fun, easy way for them to discover amazing music.”

“Epitonic.com leads the pack with a real understanding of music, great content, and a compelling editorial presentation,” says Matt Comyns, CNET’s Associate Vice President of Strategic Development.“CNET looks forward to helping foster Epitonic’s business success, and gaining a deeper understanding of the MP3 downloading phenomenon through this relationship.”

Every month, Epitonic.com visitors download over 550,000 tracks a month in diverse alternative genres from electronica to indie rock to Latin jazz.
