AroundAndAboutSanDiego.com
has announed their formal public launch this week, using the latest VR
technology to create spectacular 360-degree virtual tours of beautiful
San Diego County, California.
The website features virtual
tours of the beaches,
historic
landmarks, local
attractions, and annual
events (like the US
Open Sand Castle Competition). Each featured tour is supplemented with
useful information and contact details. Visitors now can experience the
breadth and variety of San Diego-based activities and attractions online
to help them plan their ultimate vacation.
"This website is not your usual
read-some-copy, look-at-some-pictures travel site," says Robert Burns,
the site's founder. "I don't know of any other travel Web site that focuses
on virtual photographic tours. Travel planners and tourists can now take
an online tour "around San Diego" with 360-degree virtual photography.
After experiencing San Diego's sights and attractions online just as if
they were there in person, visitors can decide where to go, what to do,
and what to see when they visit
Burns, has spent years exploring
the many avenues for adventure and fun in San Diego. "The fact that you
can experience the desert, snow, mountains and ocean in the course of a
day has always been amazing to me. If you are really motivated, you can
snow ski, surf, take a mountain hike, and race dune buggies all in one
weekend," says Burns. "I grew up here and want to showcase San Diego to
the world. I love San Diego."
Burns' love and enthusiasm
for his hometown has been the impetus for his creation of this unique site.
At AroundAndAboutSanDiego.com,
viewers are immersed in the sights of each location while the camera automatically
pans full circle. This new technology promises to simplify travel planning
by providing a one-stop online destination which meets all tourist planning
needs.

The URLwire
Effect:
"URLwire is
without question the most effective way to tell the right people in the
online world about your web site"
-- CoolShopping.com
My experience
with URLWire has been entirely positive.
I received
coverage (and links!) from key sites and in e-newsletters, one of which
had over 500,000 readers. Resulting traffic has been more than impressive.
URLwire
demonstrated
to me that it's the prime choice for announcing a web site. Edwin

"Eric, URLwire
got our site covered and linked online in places we'd tried for months
to get in without success. And, URLwire did it in one day.
