Cast your vote for America’s greatest
innovator at the They Made
America website. In an NCAA-style bracket, the Innovators Tournament
pits 32 influential figures (including Alexander Graham Bell, Ted Turner,
and Clarence Birdseye) against each other for the title of America’s innovative
champ. The games begin Wednesday, October 27 at http://www.pbs.org/theymadeamerica/.

PBS’s They Made
America features the extraordinary innovators whose ideas and entrepreneurial
spirit gave birth to landmark advances like the 707 jetliner, cultural
touchstones like the Barbie doll and CNN, and business innovations that
brought light to the cities and private banking to the masses.

but They Made America.
They Made America airs November
8, 15, and 22 on PBS (check local listings).
