the Boomer Coalition aims
to stem the tide of unnecessary deaths that result from undiagnosed and
untreated CVD, by creating events that inspire and empower baby boomers
to take responsibility for their heart health. |

Each year, approximately one million
Americans die of CVD, or cardiovascular disease. Thats two out of
every five deaths. In fact, CVD kills more people than all cancers,
AIDS, homicide and alcohol - COMBINED.
The Boomer Coalition is a non-profit
organization dedicated to raising awareness and action against CVD. It
is the only organization of its kind that specifically speaks to Baby Boomers.
Part activist and part educator, the Boomer Coalition is calling all Baby
Boomers to action with a series of online tools
The Universal Heartbeat http://www.universalheartbeat.org/
and
The Virtual Heart http://virtualheart.boomercoalition.org/
These initiatives aim to help
Baby Boomers take responsibility for their heart health and raise awareness
for CVD while ultimately stopping the course of unnecessary deaths that
result from this disease.
