Hallmark Channel
will celebrate the holiday season with the Hallmark Keepsake Sweepstakes,
the largest-ever national promotion between a cable channel, web
site, and a retail network, and six blockbuster events from November
16 to December 21. Five of these events are world premiere original
movies and specials, with one cable network premiere, as well as holiday-
themed programming airing each night of the week.
The Hallmark Keepsake Sweepstakes is an unprecedented integrated promotion between Hallmark Gold Crown stores and Hallmark Channel. The second largest retail network in the country and the nation’s fastest growing cable channel are bringing holidays to consumers across the country through a holiday watch-and-win contest, instant-win prizes redeemable only at Hallmark Gold Crown stores, and a special holiday Internet site accessible from hallmark.com and http://www.hallmarkfortheholidays.com. Hallmarkfortheholidays.com
is an extensive holiday Internet site also accessible from hallmark.com
and hallmarkchannel.com on which web visitors will find a holiday season
calendar, which will deliver information about key in-store and on-air
events. In addition,
Beginning in November, over 60 million Hallmark Keepsake Sweepstakes game pieces will be distributed through Hallmark Gold Crown stores and national publications, including People, Entertainment Weekly, Us Weekly, TV Guide and via cable and satellite distributors. Another 84 million downloadable virtual game pieces will be available on line at http://www.hallmarkfortheholidays.com and eBay. Each game piece will include two peel back windows: One window will reveal an instant-win of one of the two million Hallmark Home Entertainment family films, including “Alice in Wonderland” and “Arabian Nights,” and Hallmark Chocolatier Trio boxes, redeemable only at Hallmark Gold Crown stores. The other window reveals a number and drives viewers to watch six key Hallmark Channel original holiday events during which winning numbers are displayed. If their number appears on screen, they win a grand prize, first prize or second prize each week. Weekly grand prizes include a “Dodge Viper” as seen in “Santa Jr,” $100,000 in “cold cash” for “Snow Queen” and a magical trip to “Merlin’s” England and a stay in an enchanted castle.
