Crosswalk.com, according to Nielsen NetRatings' September 2000 report, is a Top 10 "Family & Lifestyle" Internet site based upon repeat visits per user, and is the #1 Christian-based commercial Web site based upon pageviews.
The channel, one of sixteen in Crosswalk.com's lineup covering "the intersection of faith and life," now features a more focused approach to: community interaction; email newsletter distribution of core content; articles and book excerpts from a range of speakers, authors and counselors; and more. Compared to the original design, the new Family Channel also incorporates more of Crosswalk.com's popular site features and increased exposure opportunities for advertisers.

Other family elements and issues are also expanded upon in the new channel design, including topics like parental discipline, single lifestyles, extended families and grandparenting.

"We're very pleased to broaden our coverage spectrum of family issues," said Bill Parker, president and CEO of Crosswalk.com. "We think we've assembled a great and ongoing selection of insightful contributors across a range of family issues, and we're especially excited about providing more interactive opportunities for our community. One of our great learnings over the years has been the intense willingness of the Christian community to share wisdom and experience on the Web and to challenge one another to uphold Biblical principles in our daily lives. This is especially important for couples and families who are balancing enormous pressures from all sides -- we're blessed to be a part of making it possible."
