Along the way, they are also offered the chance to spend their snelfus on all kinds of cybermerchandise that may or may not help them in the end. The launch of Cyberchase: The Quest coincides with the broadcast premiere of Starlight Night December 31 on PBS KIDS GO! (check local listings). Starlight Night is the annual holiday when all the stars in Cyberspace are refreshed for the new year. But Hacker concocts a scheme to darken the stars of Cyberspace forever. With the ceremony only hours away, can the kids and Digit rescue the inventor Archimedes and save the Starlight Night celebration all before Hacker turns out the lights in Cyberspace? Also at Cyberchase Online for the holidays, visitors can send a colorful Starlight Night e-card, print out a 2005 CYBERCHASE calendar or Starlight Night holiday card, make ornaments, sing-along with Starlight Night songs, and much more. Cyberchase makes math and problem-solving come alive for children across the country through humor, action and adventure. Targeting 7- to 11-year-olds, Cyberchase features a team of curious characters who outwit and outsmart the ultimate bad guy Hacker (Christopher Lloyd) as he tries to take over Cyberspace. A co-production of Thirteen/WNET New York and Nelvana, Cyberchase airs nationally on PBS KIDS GO!, a new educational multimedia destination specifically created by, for and about school-age kids. Major funding for Cyberchase is provided by the National Science Foundation, PBS and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
