The only site of its type on the Web, MarathonGuide.com features a detailed directory of upcoming and past marathons, searchable results from most US marathons and all-time best performances, articles on the history of and great moments in the marathon, chat, bulletin-boards, personalized web-based email, performance and health calculators and even humor. |

Elliott continued, "At MarathonGuide.com, we've tried to provide it all and make the access as simple and comprehensive as possible. As an example, if you're looking for race results, you can simply enter a first or last name to find results for that name across all marathons. For results, you can also search or browse a given marathon's results in one of four ways and, in most cases, view more information than is even available on the race's own website (if they have results there at all). Do you want to age-adjust and compare your time to your older or younger cousin's ? You can do that on MarathonGuide.com. Want to browse or search the top 500 men's or women's marathon results of all-time? Want to read about famous first marathon races or the history of the marathon? Want the latest marathon news or to read an inspirational quote? Need training tips? Need to laugh? It's all on MarathonGuide.com. I actually think we got a bit carried away while creating this site providing too much (if such a thing is possible)." Elliott concluded, "Marathon runners are passionate about their sport.
They devote months of their life to training for a single day. They
travel great distances to participate in a 26.2 mile run. They spend
countless hours researching everything from the racecourse to ways
to train to what clothing to wear and what to eat. And while they
are terribly serious about their running, they are also very sociable and
love to share their running stories and wisdom. I just thought it
was time that Marathon runners had their own place on the web!"
