CinemaNow is majority owned by Trimark Pictures, making it the first online community for film enthusiasts that is supported by a major independent studio. "Watch CinemaNow" distributes content to independent film enthusiasts, including films ramped-up from "Make CinemaNow" via on-site contests. As well as short films, CinemaNow streams quality feature-length films that have already generated millions of dollars in revenue through theatrical and video release. "Make CinemaNow" provides indie filmmakers with information, networking resources, and distribution opportunities. Individual web pages on the site give users access to an ever-expanding, interactive database of film talent. A crucial element in film production - the acquisition and unification of talent - will be facilitated for filmmakers through CinemaNow's film community. CinemaNow has leveraged its relationship with Trimark to gain exclusive Internet distribution rights to the Trimark film library. In addition, CinemaNow has exclusively acquired a 400 film library of Hong Kong films from distributor Tai Seng Home Video, including films from influential, cult fave directors such as Yuen Wo Ping. Wo Ping launched the careers of Jackie Chan and Jet Li, as well as influenced the directing styles of renowned Hong Kong directors John Woo, Tsui Hark, and Ringo Lam.
