|Birds Eye Brings a Little Wow! to the Internet|
Relaunch Offers Interactive Games, Including "Veggie Tetris"
|Since Birds Eye
launched its World-wide Recipe Search Engine in early 1998, the web site,
located at http://www.birdseye.com
has boasted the largest online source of recipes in the world, numbering
in the tens of thousands. Now Birds Eye has done it again! A new, highly-dynamic
web site was launched July 1, 1999.
The Birds Eye site now offers visitors a personalized online experience, including a meal planner, recipe box and shopping list individually for them. Visitors may search Birds Eye's extensive recipe database, add selected recipes to their personal recipe box, print out a shopping list based on their recipe selections and plan family meals . . . all conveniently online.
Birds Eye also offers entertainment for young visitors. The redesigned site includes a Fun Stuff section featuring animated vegetable characters, coloring book pages, activity pages, desktop wallpapers, a veggie toy store, and interactive "veggie-themed" video games (including a veggie Tetris-like game!).
Of course Birds Eye still offers valuable information including nutritional news, extensive product information including nutritional information, special product offers, recipes contributed by online consumers, and more. Internet Concepts, LLC, a web design firm located in Madison, Wisconsin, created the Birds Eye web site and is responsible for the continuous updates and expansion to the site. Stephan Spencer, founder and President of Internet Concepts, comments that "Birds Eye with their new Web Site has something for everyone: a "Fun Stuff" area with games, wallpapers, and activity pages for kids; a global Internet-wide recipe search engine for busy meal planners; and extensive product and nutrition information for the health-conscious." Spencer adds, "The addition of personalization, innovative animation and the Fun Stuff section underlines Birds Eye's commitment to the consumer."
