| Karnak, (http://www.karnak.com),
an Internet-based application that helps users conduct research on the
Web, today launched a free version of its automated search service.
The new, free version allows everyone access to Internet-based information
without the clutter and irrelevancy typical of current search engines.
Karnak makes searches more relevant and less time consuming, solving the
"information overload" brought on by the mass of content now published
on the Web.
"With the explosion of information housed on the Web, it is critical to research-dependent businesses and professions that they spend as little time as possible and access only that which is relevant to their business or client," says Aly Salam, general manager, VedaSource LLC. "Karnak allows these companies to build knowledge bases, what we like to call 'information equity,' containing only critical information, in less time than current search tools allow." Stored information becomes a resource for continual study and knowledge building, with access to this "knowledge library" available at any time and from any location. Search results accumulate over time, building a storehouse of relevant knowledge on each particular topic. Launched in 1998 by VedaSource LLC, Karnak is an Internet-based research service. Karnak allows access to more information than any other single search service, and has the added benefit of continuing to work while the user is off-line. Karnak provides access to all public records normally available via the Internet, and will soon allow access to proprietary Internet databases not available to general search engines.

This is a private Web-based version of Eric Ward's URLwire. URLwire is a low frequency E-mail news alert service which covers significant Web launches, events, and online happenings, and is sent only to writers, reporters, Web guide editors, and site reviewers who earn a living covering the high end of the Web. It is matched personally by me to your subject interests, not automated, and importantly, not annoying. Send your exact subject interests to: Eric@urlwire.com (Voice 423.637.2438). Online news headline linking services are welcome to link to this story. |
