Inc. has announced that it has made the entire text of the Encyclopaedia
Britannica available free of charge within the company's new Web site,
which launches today at http://www.britannica.com.
For over two centuries, Encyclopaedia Britannica has been the singular
international reference work that families around the world have aspired
to possess.
While much of the information on the Internet is free, the Encyclopaedia Britannica represents perhaps the first major reference work of recognized quality to be available at no cost.
