Successful Sporting Goods Auction Site Add Features, Launches Store

Searchability and bid traking among upgrades

The SportingAuction.com site, launched last Winter, is announcing some major upgrades today, as well as adding an online store. SportingAuction is the only auction site out there devoted solely to sporting goods, according to President Paul Dell. What's interesting to me is that Dell said he added the store to the site after learning users did not want to wait through the bidding process for smaller items, like golf balls or inline skates, things Dell calls "impulse buys". Wise move.

Although sportingauction.com normally auctions off mountain bikes, snowboards, golf clubs, and other sports related items to the highest bidder, Dell decided to inaugurate The Store to accommodate the many ancillary items sports minded bidders might wish to purchase directly. Whether you plan to slink around town behind the very same Ray Ban shades worn by Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith in their hit film, "Men In Black," or prefer to zip through town with a set of slick new Kryptonics Adrenaline wheels on your inlines, ( http://www.sportingauction.com ) is the place to go.

A new look and new features have also accompanied the launch of The Store. Now customers have the ability to quickly search for items by keyword and to track all there bids from one central location. Soon other features such as shipment tracking will be added. "These are exciting times here at the SportingAuction site."

Who's behind it...
